MTP sync and auto delete

I have a Sansa M240. I've set it up as an MTP device, and the synch is working great. Except ... (you could tell that was coming) - I can't find an option to remove enclosures from my library if they have been deleted from the device. Is that only possible when using a USB mass storage arrangement? Great...
