    Podcast descriptions

Although my device was not on the list I was able to sync to my SD card as a USB mass storage device which is good enough. (I have an HP iPAQ) .

I was impressed with the clean easy to understand interface and the speed of the podcast downloads.

But there is still one important feature missing for me.  I want the Feed items also sync'd to my device.

For example, an item in one of my podcasts is:

Sergey V. Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia

But all I get on my device is the file name (20080924SergeyLavrovCFR.mp3) which does not provide me with enough description.Especaily because I don't know that Sergey Lavrov is Russia's foreign minister until I listen to the podcast :)

Is there anyway to produce an xml file that is also sync'd to device with the enclousure paths relative to the location of the xml file?

That way I can simply open the browser on my device, navigate to the podcasts directory on my SD card and open the xml file.  Then I can read through the descriptins and click on the link to the audio file to launch it.

Basically it could be the exact XML from the feed with the enclousure path set relative to the current folder.

Is that doable? Can I have it by tomorrow?  LOL Just kidding.  Love to have your thoughts though.

    Dave

    Lonecrow,

Thanks for the note.  Sorry the reply is so slow.  I've been swamped with work over the past few months.  I hate to say no to a use request, but you've layed out a fairly speciallized request.  I will however when I get a chance to work on the plugin interface keep this in mind so that it would be possible for you or others to write a plugin for HF that would accomplish this task.

    Thanks for using HappyFish,

    Will
