Changing downloads/data folders does not stick

    Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit:

HappyFish installed successfully, and is working just fine, except for this. When it originally installed, it created two folders (HappyFish Downloads and HappyFish Data) within my Documents folder. I moved both to a different place, and changed the settings in HappyFish accordingly.

However, this is not working. Even though the HappyFish settings show that the download directory is D:\Podcasts, it still creates a HappyFish Downloads folder in the Documents, and downloads the new enclosures there. Same thing happens with the HappyFish Data folder, which shows up every time I restart the program.

Is this a bug, a feature, or am I missing something...?

    Kalla724,

This is a lingering bug I think (or poor implementation of the feature).  When you changed the setting did you get the message about moving the existing library files?  Answering yes to the question should update the existing database entries, otherwise they remain unchanged.  So It is possible to have newly added feeds after the change use the new location while old feeds continue to use the old setting.  It's one of those areas where I've probably made the application too flexible.  As a work around you might try going to each feed and changing its download location to point to the new location.  I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Will

Ok, changing the feed to a different folder, and than back to the correct folder (and answering "yes" to the library move question each time) solved the problem for the downloads. The program still insists on creating/saving data in "HappyFish Data" folder within Documents, and that can't be changed no matter what I do, but I can live with that as long as the actual database is on the correct drive.

The program is otherwise great - thank you for all the time you've put into it!

    Cheers,

    M.
