move hf to a new computer

I'd like to move hf to a new computer.  I have say 10 to 15 feeds and want to preserve everything that I have (settings).   For bonus points, can I move the enclosures to a new drive letter?  I use f:\ on my present computer and want to use d:\ on the new computer.

    Thanks for any help,    ....Don

    Don,

Your best bet is probably to do the following:

    1. Export your feeds to OPML.
    2. Copy your entire download directory to the new location.
    3. Install HF on the new machine.
    4. Set the download directory to the new location.
    5. Import your feeds from OPML.
    6. Download the files again.  HF should see the existing files if you use the same relative paths and simply mark the files as downloaded.

Note: If an old existing item is no longer available in the feed then it will be lost to HF during the transition.

    Good luck.

    Regards,

    Will

    Well ....

I moved to another machine without having created an OPML file.

Is there any way I can recover my settings ?

    Cyril,

Unless you can go back to the old machine and do an export to OPML you'll have to resubscribe from memory.  The rest of the steps should still apply.  Good luck.
