    Zune support

Hello, I'd like to reques some support for Zune users. Right now, Zune's cannot be used as hard drives, out of the box. This makes it difficult to use any other interface to play with the contents of the Zune except the included Zune software.

Recently, the user community has come up with a simple registry hack that allows access to the Zune as a harddrive, but Windows will not assign it a drive letter. The drive can be browsed, and when it's in sync mode, it can be written to.

I like Happyfish, and want to continue using it, but none of the included sync methods can locate the zune, and the USB MP3 Player option apparently requires a drive letter?

Any thoughts on a workaround maybe?

    Re: Zune support

    MegaShub,

I just ordered one of the brown Zunes that was going for $99 on buy.com, but it won't be here until late next month.  Once I have one in hand I'll be able to figure out if I can get HF to work with it.  In the meantime, my understanding is that you can have the Zune software monitor and sync the contents of a directory.  Perhaps you could point this feature at your HF download directory as a work around.  Please let me know if this is possible.

    Regards,

    Will

    Re: Zune support

Now that you mention it, it is possible to specify a directory within Zune. That is a good work around for now. Good luck with the integration. So far the device protection seems pretty easy to circumvent, so I doubt you'll have much of an issue. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'm relatively new to the portable media player world (but nowhere near new to everything else), so I haven't played around much with related content like podcasts until recently.

Happyfish is a good product. Thanks.
